So today we had what was supposed to be our "gender reveal" ultrasound! However due the cord being in the way, we were left with no gender reveal but some very nice pictures of Baby P and lots of growth and development changes to witness.
Baby P looks good with a strong heartbeat of 157bpm and is measuring exactly where he/she needs to be. We are right on track for my July 22nd due date at 19 wks 1 day. We were able to see the eyes, heart, lungs, kidneys, bowel, feet, arms, head, spine, fingers, and lots and lots of movement. Baby P was whirling around in there all over and even the last picture shows Baby P with his/her legs over his/her head. We got to see Baby P waving and the feet kicking around. Just like with Hayden, lots of pics with the hands over the face! And even an "OK" hand signal!
Hope you enjoy the pictures and hopefully we will have gender news to reveal to you soon!

18 WEEKS!
We are almost halfway there!
The past two weeks have been full of flutters, movements, more weird pregnancy symptoms and a whole lot less nausea!
Our avocado is now a sweet potato and is almost half an inch long and close to 7ozs.
In exciting news, this week brought first movements and tons of flutters. On the bad side, the VIVID nightmares (including apocalyptic alien and plague invasions) have begun. This was something I experienced with Hayden.... the VIVID dreams, not the content LOL! I wake feeling like these events have actually happened, but often I have slept so deeply that I still feel rested upon waking. I have started sleeping with a wedge pillow under my belly and a spare pillow between my knees. This makes me feel comfy and prevents me from rolling onto my back to sleep.
The all day nausea and even some of the nighttime nausea has subsided. I have been experiencing some headaches, but our weather has been all over the map so I can't for sure say it is pregnancy related. The weird mouth taste is still happening and despite brushing, mouthwash and even a lemon juice rinse (thanks Babcia for the suggestion) it is still there. I asked the dr and nothing appears to be wrong so who knows...... it's all in my head I guess!
We have begun work on Baby P's nursery. We found a dresser the other day and have brought it into the room. Hayden kept his dresser so it is the only piece of furniture we need to buy. We will reuse Hayden's crib, change table and rocker, so just a dresser was on the hitlist. We have a colour scheme going and will paint once we know gender.
Speaking of that....... 8 SLEEPS UNTIL WE FIND OUT! Ultrasound is next Wednesday and Curtis is busy working on a "creative" way of revealing the gender to me. I don't want to find out at the ultrasound, I want to be surprised. The reveal has to top hours of later to find out what our bundle of joy will be. Plus we are having a Gender Reveal Party..... a party where we reveal the gender to people who attend. I am in full fledged party mode.... Pinterest is on gender reveal party overload. I am super excited to creatively reveal and find out the gender of Baby P!
Hayden keeps referring to the baby now as his "baby sister". So thankfully only a few more days until we find out. Either way I am excited to be welcoming a new little one to our family!
Thanks for checking and feel free to leave comments!

FIRST KICK!
This is a few days late but we have movement!
Feb 13 was the official date of my very first swift kick! I had quite a few little flutters over the past week or so, but this was the first good movement I could feel!
So very exciting to feel Baby P in there moving about! Can't wait to feel many more kicks!!

16 Weeks!
My goodness, the weeks are FLYING by!
I know I keep saying that but it is definitely true!
So excited that our lemon is now an avocado! Getting bigger and bigger! I had a doctor's appt this week and everything is looking great. Heartbeat was still strong and high at 154bpm and measuring exactly where I should be. Plus I had only gained a .5lb since my last appt. (probably due to the constant nausea and non-eating!) No movements as of yet, but getting close. I have two pairs of surviving non-maternity pants, and even then they won't last long HAHA!
The all day nausea has started to ease up, and I only really feel sick in the evening. However, new pregnancy symptom: dry mouth, terrible breath, and just a general awful taste in my mouth regardless of what I eat... anyone else experience that? Definitely NEVER had that before. I have started brushing my teeth like 5 times a day because it tastes so awful!
Hayden is getting more and more curious about the baby! We have the sonogram picture up in our kitchen and this week he has started walking by saying "Look Mommy... there is my baby brother! It in your tummy!" It's funny because just last week it was his baby sister.
Thankfully we only need to wait 3 weeks to see how omnipotent he is. February 26th we find out gender. Actually looking forward to knowing and being prepared for Baby P this time. It was fun not knowing with Hayden, but I think this may make the transition easier for all of us.
However, don't think we will rush Facebook with gender news. My creative juices have been flowing and I'm pretty sure I know how we will reveal.... peeps that are close may even get a Party Invitation to find out :P
Will post a pic soon as the camera is throwing a temper tantrum right now!
